Ducks, Herbert did work out … It was maybe one of the last sporting events to take place in the wake of the COVID-19 tsunami, but Oregon did get its pro day in late yesterday afternoon. Included in the work out was a scripted throwing session by Ducks’ QB Justin Herbert which by all accounts was impressive. All 32 NFL teams were scheduled to be at the Oregon pro day, however, only about 20 actually had reps on the field as teams had begun recalling their scouts off the road. Of note, though, Carolina was interested enough that Panthers’ G.M. Marty Hurney stuck around to watch Herbert’s workout, although he appears to have been the lone senior exec in attendance Thursday. Miami was there, though, in the person of QB consultant David Lee, who reportedly met with Herbert after the workout.
