Ducks fly to CFP semis

January 1, 2026

Ducks fly to CFP semis … There was almost nothing pretty about it, but the Oregon Ducks are off to the CFP semi-finals with a 23-0 win over Texas Tech in what turned out to be an old-time defensive struggle. The Ducks will play the winner of this afternoon’s Rose Bowl between Indiana and Alabama in the Peach Bowl on January 9th in Atlanta. Despite the loss, Tech DE David Bailey had a strong game posting 9 tackles including a sack and another tackle for loss as he was constantly in the face of Oregon QB Dante Moore’s face. Conversely, it was not a great outing for the Ducks’ OTs Isaiah World and Alex Harkey who really struggled to cut off the edge. It was also a tough day for Moore who did complete 26 of 33 pass attempts for 234 yards, but had a pick as he had Red Raiders in his face all day and got little support from the Ducks’ run game which averaged barely 2.5 yards a carry. However, when he did have a little time, it was pretty obvious that Moore has some legit tools including a quick release and plenty of accuracy and velocity on his throws.
