DT Oliver gimpy; LSU LB White suspended half Bama tilt… Houston All-American junior DT Ed Oliver, a top 5 prospect for the 2019 draft, is being listed as questionable with a knee injury for the Cougars big game with unbeaten South Florida on Friday. Oliver sat out the final minutes of Houston’s win over Navy last Saturday after being hit low on the knee. Meanwhile, LSU has confirmed that star LB Devin White will sit out the first half of their next game, which just happens to be in two weeks against top-ranked Alabama. White, the consensus top LB prospect overall for the 2019 draft who is projected somewhere in the middle of the opening round, was ejected for a controversial targeting foul in the Tigers’ win over Mississippi State last Saturday. You can see the video here and while we understand that player safety is paramount, that appears to be just a dreadful call.
