Draft race goes prime time … This week’s Thursday night game – the final mid-week game of the year – with San Diego playing at Oakland (8:30 PM ET; NFL Network) could have a major impact on the early selection order of the 2016 draft. That’s because 4-10 San Diego would have the 3rd pick overall were the draft held this week. A loss to the Raiders would keep the Chargers faint hopes of ending up with the top pick overall still alive; if nothing else it would keep San Diego very much in the hunt for a top 5 pick. Win at Oakland, though, and the Chargers could conceivably drop almost out of the top ten.
