Race to #1 pick into homestretch … With just three weeks to go in the NFL regular schedule – where does the time go? – who gets the first pick overall at the 2016 draft is still very much up for grabs with three teams – Tennessee, San Diego and Cleveland – tied for last place with three wins. And it will tough for both Tennessee and Cleveland to get to four, at least for this week, as both have difficult road games later today. The Titans, for example, will be at playoff bound New England in an early game this afternoon, although the Patriots have lost their last couple of games and are a tad banged up. Meanwhile, Cleveland will be at Seattle, which looks to be rounding into playoff shape, in a late afternoon affair. On the other hand, San Diego has something of a winnable game as the Chargers host inconsistent Miami in another 4 PM ET game. In fact, the Chargers at home to Miami may be the best chance for any of the 3-win teams to get a 4th win. The Chargers then finish their season with road games at division rivals Oakland and Denver, who have a combined 16-10 record. Same for Cleveland, which travels to Kansas City and hosts Pittsburgh, both of which are 8-5, in their final two weeks. For its part, Tennessee finishes up with division games at home to Houston and at Indianapolis. While those latter teams are both 6-7, they are also both in the thick of a race for the wacky AFC South playoff berth. Stay tuned!
