Draft innovator Brandt passes at 91 … Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys’ Director of Player Personnel Gil Brandt, who did more than anyone to revolutionize the draft process, has passed away at the age of 91. Brandt joined the Cowboys in 1960 and through his long career with the team and later as a media analyst helped bring the draft from Street&Smith’s to the combine and computers.
