Draft focus stays on Michigan … The eyes of college football were riveted on the state of Michigan on Saturday as Michigan and Michigan State had a titanic battle for the lead in the very competitive Big Ten East. When the smoke had cleared the underdog Spartans came away with a dramatic 37-33 win over their cross-state rivals to stay unbeaten. At least the draft focus will stay on Michigan for another day when Detroit, the NFL’s last remaining winless team which would have the first pick overall were the 2022 held this week, will be hosting 2-5 Philadelphia in an early game. And if ever the Lions were to win a game this year, this looks like their chance. Ironically, this is a match-up between the two teams that hold the first and second picks in this week’s draft order, although the Eagles get theirs with Miami’s pick.
