Dolphins win! Bengals clear #1 for the week … Miami’s dreams of a winless season came to crashing halt earlier today when the Dolphins knocked off the New York Jets 26-18 to break their current goose egg. With the Dolphins officially off the schneid, Cincinnati is now the only remaining winless team in the NFL and will have the #1 pick at the 2020 draft ‘were the draft to be held this week.’ Washington will hold the 2nd pick overall, at least for this week, by virtue of their 1-8 record, while the other three one-win teams – the Jets, Miami and Atlanta – are 1-7. However, the Redskins have a much stronger SOS that either the Jets or Dolphins and will drop down if either or both of those two teams lose their game in hand. It is important to note, though, that the #1 pick, is still very much in play as the Bengals, who also have a much stronger SOS than either the Jets or Dolphins will play both next month – home to the Jets on December 1st and at Miami on December 22nd – while Miami still has to play its road game at the Jets on December 8th. As usual, the full selection order for the opening round of the 2020 draft, were it to be held this week, will be posted after tomorrow night’s Monday night game.
