Dolphins stunner has Eagles pick slipping … I doubt anybody around the NFL was expecting much of a game last night when Baltimore played at Miami in last night’s Thursday prime time game. There was just no way that the sad-sack Dolphins would be able to hang with the Ravens who were looking to extend their lead in the very competitive AFC North division. Turned out it wasn’t much of again, but it was the Ravens who in the end never really showed up enroute to a shocking 22-10 loss to the Dolphins, who as recently as this past Sunday morning had only one win to their credit. As a bit of an added bonus for Miami, winning at this late stage in the season doesn’t affect their draft pick as they traded it to Philadelphia in a pre-draft trade last year. As a result of last night’s game, Philadelphia would drop down to the 6th pick from #3 with Miami’s selection, at least until Sunday’s action, with the 2-6 teams the NY Jets, Jacksonville and Washington each moving up one spot to #s 3-4-5. For the record, those three teams are all in pretty tough this weekend with the Jets hosting Buffalo, Jacksonville at resurgent Indianapolis and Washington hosting Tampa Bay, although as we saw in Miami anything is possible in the NFL on any given game day!
