Details on Colts-Commanders trade for Wentz … Several media sources are now reporting on the specific details of today’s trade in which Washington acquired QB Carson Wentz from Indianapolis. The Colts do in fact receive the 73rd pick in this year’s draft, the Commanders’ 3rd rounder. The Colts will also get Washington’s 3rd rounder next year, although that pick could escalate to a second rounder if Wentz plays 70% of Washington’s offensive snaps this fall. The team’s will also flip second-round picks this year, with the Colts getting #42 while the Commanders now select 47th. For the record, Washington also assumes all of Wentz’ contract which runs thru 2024.
