Orange not the new orange for top FCS transfer … It turns out that former Delaware State DE Gabe Sherrod will not be transferring to Syracuse for his senior season after all. The 6-3, 255-pound Sherrod, who had 25 tackles for loss in 2015, the second most in FCS ranks last year, committed to Syracuse in March, but the school revoked the offer over the weekend. There were rumors that Sherrod had visited at least one other school after committing to the Orange and the program reportedly wanted someone more ‘locked in’ although given SU’s record in recent years one would think they would take almost anyone they could get who could play a little. Meanwhile, Sherrod has indicated that he will make his choice for a home for his final year early next month.
