Cut down deal

September 5, 2015

Turk back on the prowl … Its cut-down day in the NFL as all 32 teams have to be down to the 53-man opening day roster by 4 PM ET later this afternoon. Several teams actually made preliminary moves yesterday, but no team is fully down to the limit as of this morning. And while the 2015 draft class got through the 75-man roster deadline earlier this week – only one 2015 pick was released in that part of the process – already four late rounders have been released as Jackosnville released a pair of 7th rounders in TE Ben Koyack and WR Neal Sterling. Buffalo also released WR Dez Lewis, another WR taken in the 7th round, while Atlanta released OT Jake Rogers, a 4th 7th rounder to be axed yesterday. As usual, we’ll be tracking all the picks as fast as we can, although it should be noted that teams have until the 4 PM deadline to get their list of cuts to the league office, but not everybody actually announces their cuts until later in the day.
