Cowboys all in

Cowboys all in; Jones won’t rule out trading future #1 … With the signing of free agent free agent G/T La’el Collins, a first-round talent who went undrafted at the 2015 draft after local police in Baton Rouge indicated they wanted to talk to him about the shooting death of a pregnant ex-girlfriend despite the fact he was not listed as a suspect, Dallas is talking Super Bowl.  In that context, Dallas owner/GM Jerry Jones suggested that the cowboys might be willing to deal their #1 pick in 2016 if it would move the goalposts in that direction. Responding to a question during  a local media interview Jones said the Cowboys would be reluctant to part with a future top pick, but that “if the right situation came along that could improve us now with where we are with Romo in his career and where we are with what we put together. It’s a good time to go for it.” In that context, the name that likely will be most associated with a possible move to Dallas will be Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson who has said he doesn’t want to play for the Vikings any more; the Vikings though have been adamant to date that Peterson isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
