Could Deion get his Raiders’ draft … The NFL was abuzz over the past few days when video of Deion Sanders telling Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce that he ‘needed him to draft those Sanders boys’ at a Super Bowl party in Vegas last February. The Sanders’ boys, of course, are QB Shedeur and S Shilo, both of whom play for the elder Sanders at Colorado. And Shedeur, in particular, is a candidate to be among the first players selected at the upcoming draft. At the same time, there have also been more recent unconfirmed reports that Deioon had his druthers son Shedeur would play for either Dallas or those self-same Raiders. And with the Raiders moving into the #1 pick in the latest weekly opening round selection order, could Deion get his wish. Indeed, one has to wonder whether even if the Raiders didn’t end up with the #1 pick specifically could he try and force a trade like the Giants did to get Eli Manning two decades. What would add to the irony of the situation is that right now the Giants are the team most likely to end up picking first overall if the Raiders don’t. Could be an interesting off-season. Meanwhile, less than 140 days to go until the draft!
