Concerns about UCLA QB

November 1, 2016

Long-term concerns about UCLA QB … School officials have yet to confirm, but all indications are that UCLA sophomore QB Josh Rosen will not play again this fall because of the lingering effect of some nerve issues in his throwing shoulder. Rosen had been expected to be one of the leading contenders to be the #1 pick at the 2018 draft, but this type of injury adds a whole lot of unknowns to his ultimate draft status.  It not clear, for example, whether the issue will heal on its own with rest or whether surgery will ultimately be required. It’s also not a given that he will regain 100% of his arm strength, but it’s also not a given that he won’t. Stay tuned!
