Combine RB notes

Combine RB notes … After yesterday’s track meet among the WRs at the scouting combine yesterday, today’s workout by the RBs was rather pedestrian. However, a few guys did stand out. Iowa State’s Breece Hall, one of the guys generally thought to be in the mix of the top 2-3 backs, for example, ran a solid 4.39 40 while chipping in a very athletic 40-inch vertical. At the same time, Michigan State’s Kenny Walker, another of the top 2-3 backs, also ran better than expected as he posted a 4.38 time. For the record, Isaiah Spiller of Texas A&M, who is generally considered to be the #1 back at this point did not run today as he is waiting for his pro day. FCS star Pierre Strong of South Dakota State also had a great day running under 4.4 seconds and posting a 36-inch vertical. And Rachaad White of Arizona also helped himself posting a 4.48 40 and a 38-inch vertical.
