Carter, Jeanty to sit combine workouts; other combine notes … With the first day of the 2025 scouting combine winding down in Indianapolis there are a couple of updates of note. Penn State DE Abdul Carter, one of the top 2-ranked position prospect for the upcoming draft, confirmed today that he will not be participating in the on-field workouts for the position on Thursday. Same for Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty, this year’s top-rated back, who will be in sweats when the skill people workout on Saturday. At the same time, Miami TE Elijah Arroyo also won’t work out this week as a result of a knee injury suffered at the senior Bowl. Meanwhile, the personal doctor of East Carolina CB Shavon Revel, one of the top 4-5 prospects at the position who tore an ACL early this past season, reported to all teams that the player’s rehab is going well and that he should be available for the start of the upcoming season. Of course, NFL teams will get an independent assessment when Revel undergoes this week’s medical tests at the combine.
