Combine invite list announced … The NFL Scouting Combine has released the list of 323 players who will be attending this year’s event in Indianapolis which gets underway on February 17th and runs through the 23rd. And who gets invited to Indianapolis matters because NFL personnel departments are very much involved in the whittling down process and want the players they want to see in Indianapolis. Indeed, every year something in the area of 85% of all players selected at the draft are at the combine. Among notable players who were not invited to the combine this month include Houston WR Deontay Greenberry, Penn State DE Deion Barnes, Cincinnati MLB Jeff Luc and Northern Iowa DT Xavier Williams. We’ll be going over the list with a fine tooth comb over the next few hours, but for now CBS Sports has a pretty good run down on the biggest surprise snub at this year’s combine.
