Day one combine buzz … One of the fascinating aspects of the scouting combine is that in addition to the draft stuff, it functions pretty much as the NFL’s annual convention as just about every senior person associated with the league including G.M.s, coaches and even agents are rubbing elbows in Indianapolis. And with the start of the new league year just over two weeks away, figure there’s lots of informal discussions about potential future trades and/or free agent signings. Of course, there’s also plenty of chatter about the draft. Here are some of the highlights of what we’re picking from what’s being said at the combine in our Combine buzz: day one.
