College football notes

Rosen back, Vols KR Berry done for year and other college notes … UVCLA QB Josh Rosen returned to practice earlier today and is expected to play when the Bruins host Arizona State on Saturday. Rosen, a potential top 5 prospect for the 2018 draft, did not travel with the team for last week’s game at Utah after being sidelined with a concussion in UCLA’s loss to Washington on October 28th. There were concerns that if Rosen missed any more time with the injury it could cause his draft grade to start to slip. Meanwhile, Tennessee DB/KR Evan Berry has suffered a season-ending injury for the second straight year. Berry, the brother of former Vols and current Kansas City safety Eric Berry, hurt his arm and/or shoulder in this past weekend’s win over Southern Mississippi. Berry also missed the final 4 games of the 2016 campaign after he tore an ACL that continued to plague him much of this season. While nominally a safety, Berry is best known as an explosive KO returner with a 34 yards per return average. At the same time, Texas junior CB Holton Hill, an emerging cover corner with legit track speed who appears on the GBN Top 100 for the upcoming draft, has been suspended for the rest of the season for an undisclosed violation of team rules, although he will still be allowed to practice with the team.
