College football injury updates … It hasn’t been a great week for a number of senior WRs with aspirations for the 2017 draft. Iowa’s Matt Vandenberg, for example, will be sidelined indefinitely with a foot injury sustained the non-specified injury during a Monday practice. VandeBerg currently leads the Hawkeyes in both receptions and receiving yards after leading the team in receiving a year ago as well. At the same time, Rutgers’ WR and KR Janarion Grant, arguably the Scarlet Knights most dynamic player, suffered a season-ending right ankle injury in the team’s loss to Iowa this past weekend. For the record, Grant leads the Knights with 20 catches thru 4 games while averaging 16 yards on punt returns and over 33 on KOs. If that wasn’t bad enough for the Knights, they also lost starting DE Quanzell Lambert to a season-ending knee injury. occurred just past the cut-off to apply for a medical redshirt year. Elsewhere, Central Michigan WR Jesse Kroll will miss the remainder of the 2016 season due to a knee injury, while Stanford WR Francis Owusu is sidelined indefinitely after he suffered a concussion last week against UCLA.
