College football kick-off classic on tape … The 2024 college football season doesn’t kick-off in earnest until next week, but there are several games this weekend including one involving a ranked team as the #10 Florida State Leprechauns face the Georgia Tech Green Jackets in Dublin, Ireland in the College Football Kick-off Classic. The game gets underway at Noon ET with coverage on ESPN. And because there’ll be plenty of better chances to check out the top prospects in today’s game later in the year, especially those from FSU, we aren’t posting a full ‘who to watch’ report for today’s game. However, for those who just can’t wait, there will be several really good prospects playing today lead by star Florida State DE Patrick Payton (#11, 6-5, 250), a legit first-round prospect with a ton of upside, while CB Fentrell Cypress (#23, 6-0, 190) and LT Darius Washington (#76, 6-4, 310) have second-day potential. And yes, the FSU QB – DJ Uiagalelei (#4, 6-4, 255) – is the same DJ Uiagalelei, the one-time big-time prospect at Clemson several years who transferred to Oregon State last year, but is back in the ACC this fall.
