Clock ticking for underclassmen … The deadline for underclassmen to file paperwork with the NFL in order to be eligible for the 2016 draft is two weeks today. So far, by our unofficial count the number of underclassmen to have declared in one way or another for the upcoming is approaching 60. However, a bunch of big-name prospects are yet to be heard from including RBs Derrick Henry of Alabama, this year’s Heisman winner, and Alex Collins of Arkansas; junior WRs Laquin Treadwell of Mississippi, Ohio State’s Michael Thomas, Rashard Higgins of Colorado State, and Cal’s Kenny Lawlor, along with Texas A&M redshirt sophomore WR Ricky Seals-Jones; TEs Hunter Henry of Arkansas, Alabama’s OJ Howard and Evan Engram of Ole Miss; OTs Laremy Tunsil of Mississippi and Michigan State’s Jack Conklin; DEs Emmanual Ogbah of Oklahoma State and Alabama’s Jonathan Allen; DTs A’shawn Robinson of Alabama, Baylor’s Andrew Billings and Chris Jones of Mississippi State; CBs Jaylen Ramsey of Florida State, Clemson redshirt sophomore Mackensie Alexander, Tennessee’s Cam Sutton, Keivarae Russell of Notre Dame and Desmond King of Iowa; and safeties Vonn Bell of Ohio State and Clemson’s Jayron Kearse.
