Clemson WR Ross cleared to return

Clemson WR Ross cleared to return … Clemson WR Justyn Ross, one of the top prospects at the position for the 2022 if he can stay healthy, has been medically cleared to play this season. Ross, though, must wait a few days before he can join his Tigers’ teammates on the field as he has to sit out the next week due to COVID-19 protocols. The 6-4 Ross was projected to be a top 10 candidate for the 2021 draft, but has been sidelined since March 2020 after he was diagnosed with a congenital fusion in his spine. Ross was actually born with the condition, but was unaware he had it until he suffered a stinger in his neck during spring practice that year. Ross ultimately underwent surgery in June 2020 and did not play at all last fall. And with his college career back on track, figure that Ross will be an intriguing prospect at next April’s draft, although he’ll likely also be one of the most scrutinized given his health background.
