Clemson S retires; ex-Tiger RB now with Vols … With college football training camps set to open across the country this week, there were a couple of roster moves involving Clemson. On the one hand, Tigers’ safety Lannden Zanders has opted to retire from football because of an injured shoulder that has forced him to the sidelines for extended periods three times over the past year. Zanders was considered to be a later round or free agent type prospect for 2023. At the same time, former Clemson RB Lyn-J Dixon, who originally transferred to West Virginia this winter after four seasons with the Tigers, has moved on again, this time to Tennessee after he was dismissed by the Mountaineers’ program. Like Zanders, Dixon is more a later round type prospect.
