Chiefs trade for vet WR Hopkins done … In one of those the rich get richer scenarios, multiple sources are confirming the 6-0 Kansas City Chiefs, the NFL’s last remaining unbeaten team, has completed a trade with Tennessee to acquire veteran WR DeAndre Hopkins. In exchange, the Titans will reportedly get a 5th round pick that could escalate to a 4th based on a couple of conditions: one that the Chiefs make the Super Bowl; and two, that Hopkins plays 60% of the Chiefs’ offensive snaps (although note its not entirely clear from the reporting that 60% of all the Chiefs snaps this year given they’ve already played 35% of their schedule) or 60% of their remaining snaps. The Titans will also reportedly pick up half of Hopkins’ salary for the rest of the year. Hopkins is in the final year of his contract and will become a free agent again in 2025.
