Chiefs get really future 49ers pick for WR; Saints-Dolphins trade nixed … In a late deal that slipped under our radar yesterday, Kansas City traded WR Rod Streater to San Francisco for what was described in the KC press as a conditional 7th round pick in 2019. As part of the deal, though, the Chiefs will also reportedly get a conditional 7th rounder from the 49ers in 2019. Either something got lost in the translation or the teams may simply be swapping 7th rounders in 2019 if the 49ers pick is higher and if Streater meets certain performance marks. At the same time, New Orleans released DE Chris McCain as part of their move to get to the 53-man roster. The Saints had acquired McCain from Miami for a conditional 7th round pick, the condition being that he made the New Orleans roster. Since he did not that pick reverts back to the Saints.
