Chiefs, Dolphins release picks … Kansas City raised a few eyebrows around the league when they released former Notre Dame CB Keivarae Russell earlier today. Russell was the Chiefs 3rd round pick at the 2016 and in effect becomes the highest pick from this year’s draft to be released to date. Meanwhile, Miami has released former Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty, a 7th round pick this past spring. In fact, it wasn’t a great day for rookies around the NFL as Green Bay released RB Jhurrell Pressley, an undrafted rookie free agent, and Arizona waived injured undrafted rookie free agent OLB Lamar Louis.
