CFP Semis set

December 20, 2020

CFP semis set … College football hasn’t gotten much right this past season, but it does appear that just maybe the top four teams in the country have made the 4-team playoff for the national championship. Top-rated Alabama will play Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl, while Clemson and Ohio State will meet in the Sugar Bowl. Both games are on January 1st with the Tide/Irish to kick-off at 5 PM ET, followed by the Tigers/Buckeyes at 8:45 PM ET. Both games will be televised on ESPN. In what’s been a weird year, though, the Rose Bowl will be actually be played in Arlington because of covid concerns in the LA area. Meanwhile, the Sugar Bowl stays in New Orleans in a game that features a head-to-head match-up between QBs Trevor Lawrence of Clemson and Ohio State’s Justin Fields, the two top-rated prospects for the 2021 draft. Should be fun. The winners of the two semi-final games will them meet in Miami on January 11th for the national title.
