Are you ready for some football?? Part deux … Just a few minutes after the NFL pre-season gets underway in Canton on Thursday evening, the delayed Canadian Football League regular season will kick-off with a full slate of games on the weekend. Hamilton will open the season in Winnipeg tomorrow night at 8:30 PM ET in a replay of the last Grey Cup played in 2019. Winnipeg prevailed in that one 33-12 for their first CFL title championship in almost 30 years. Saskatchewan will then host the B.C. Lions on Friday evening, with Toronto scheduled to play at Calgary and Ottawa at Edmonton on August 7th. CFL teams will play a 14-game schedule this fall culminating in the 2021 Grey Cup scheduled for Hamilton on December 12th. Games will be covered by TSN in Canada and ESPN in the U.S.
