Vikes get reserve back from Niners for picks … Minnesota has reportedly acquired veteran reserve RB Jordan Mason from San Francisco in exchange for a 6th round pic in 2026. The teams will also flip 5th and 6th round picks this year with the 49ers getting #160 from the Vikings who get #187 in return.

New football year to start … The 2025-26 NFL football year gets underway at 4 PM ET later this afternoon when all teams have to be under the salary cap and all those trades and signings announced earlier this week during the legal tampering window of opportunity can be formalized and more trades made.

WashComs get Texans OT Tunsil for picks … In something of a blockbuster, Washington has acquired LT Laremy Tunsil from Hosuton in exchange for a package of picks that includes 3rd and 7th rounders this year and 2nd and 4th in 2026. To complete the deal, Houston will send its 4th round pick this year to Washington.
