Carter accident report

Updated: Role of UGA DT Carter in fatal crash questioned … Just the kind of news you don’t need when you are under consideration to be the #1 pick overall at the NFL draft. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting at this hour that star Georgia DT Jalen Carter was at the scene of a fatal car crash early this year and at worst misled police about his whereabouts at the time of the incident. Georgia football staffer Chandler LeCroy and offensive lineman Devin Willock were both killed in a one-car crash on January 15th. Carter, who driving a second car that day, originally told police that he was about a mile behind the other car when the accident happened, but then later said that he was in fact just behind the other car. To make a long story short, there is speculation – to date unproven – that the two cars may have been racing. Whatever, its not a good look for Carter who has emerged as the consensus top non-QB prospect for the upcoming draft and more than one team currently has him at the top of their board period! Update (11:35 AM ET): CNN is now reporting that an arrest warning has been issued against Carter for charges of reckless driving and racing. It is also likely that alcohol played a major role in the incident.
