Cards well positioned for 2024 … There are still 361 days o go until the 2024 draft gets underway in Detroit next April, but at least for now, Arizona looks to be the team best positioned to do some damage next spring. After the smoke had cleared from this past weekend’s draft, the Cardinals currently have 6 picks in the first three rounds. That includes an extra first-round pick acquired from Houston acquired in the Texans trade up to get Alabama DE Will Anderson with this year’s 3rd pick overall. The Cardinals also have a couple of extra third round picks which were also acquired this weekend. At the same time, Chicago also has an extra first-round pick for next spring – from Carolina – while Green Bay could have the NY Jets #1 if QB Aaron Rodgers meets some playing time marks. San Francisco also has a couple of net of two extra third round picks both acquired as a result of the NFL’ minority hiring policies.
