Canes, Beck crash into Cards … For those who missed it last evening, #2 Miami’s dreams of winning a national title took a major hit when the Hurricanes were upset 24-21 at home by Louisville. And enigmatic Miami QB Carson Beck was well, enigmatic. Beck did complete an impressive 25 of 35 pass attempts against the Cardinals for 271 yards, but he had no TD tosses and was picked off 4 times. Ouch! In the process, it probably put an end to any Beck for the Heisman chatter; it also probably put an end to any chatter among pro scouts about Beck rehabbing his draft grade to the point of just maybe sneaking back into the first-round area.
