Buff WR to have surgery

March 1, 2020

Buff WR to have surgery … NFL scouts were somewhat disappointed when former Colorado WR Laviska Shenault, a rising first-round prospect for the 2020 draft, was only able to run a 4.58 40 earlier this weekend at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. Shenault had been considered to be one of the best overall athletes at the combine so it was a surprise when he posted that rather pedestrian time. Not sure if it was the reason, but just hours later it was announced that Shenault would undergo surgery this coming week to repair what is being described as a core muscle injury that he actually played through this season, sources told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Saturday. Dr. William Meyers from Philadelphia is expected to perform the procedure. The recovery timetable for such an injury is estimated to be in the 6-8 week range, meaning Shenault likely won’t be able to work out again prior to the draft, but he is expected to be fully healthy for the start of training camp.
