Buckeye S Downs enters draft … Ohio State FS Caleb Downs has confirmed that he will be foregoing his final year of eligibility and entering the 2026 draft. Downs, in fact, is considered to be one of the very best players in this year’s draft with top 2-3 physical tools, but he could slip down slightly as safety isn’t considered to be a high-value impact position. Downs is the second top Buckeyes’ underclassmen to enter the upcoming draft, joining WR Carnell Tate, another top 10 candidate who declared yesterday, while the NFL awaits word from OSU junior LB Arvell Reese, yet another top 5 type prospect.
