Buckeye QB Stroud; two Frogs enter draft as declare deadline passes … The deadline for underclassmen wishing to enter the 2023 draft passed earlier today with the addition of three more prominent names including Ohio State CJ Stroud, who figures to be a top 5-10 pick this coming spring, along with WR Quentin Johnston, another top 5-10 candidate, and RB Kendre Miller of TCU. With the addition of these three the number of redshirt sophomores and 3rd or 4th juniors who have filed paperwork with the NFL to be included in this year’s draft class has risen to 83. Meanwhile, Washington State QB Cam Ward, one underclassman who had been expected to declare did not and in fact is currently listed as ‘present’ on the Cougars’ spring roster.

And with the passing of the deadline, those who applied to the NFL for early entry to this year’s draft now have a 72-hour window of opportunity to withdraw their names, as long as they haven’t signed with an agent. Then once that window closes the NFL will release a full list of players with special eligibility for this year’s draft.
