Browns turn to rook Gabriel at QB … Cleveland has made a change at QB and will start rookie Dillon Gabriel on Sunday morning when the Browns play Minnesota in London. Gabriel replaces veteran Joe Flacco who has ineffective through the first month of the season as he has thrown 6 picks versus just 2 TD passes. Gabriel was a 3rd round pick at the 2025 draft where he was selected with the 94th pick overall. Flacco though will be the Browns’ designated #2 QB meaning that Shedeur Sanders remains buried on the team’s depth chart as the #3 man at the position. Gabriel is also the 3rd rookie QB to start this fall joining first rounders Cam Ward of Tennessee and the Giants Jaxson Dart, the latter who started for the first time this past weekend in an upset win over the previously unbeaten LA Chargers.
