Browns Kizer reinstated again

October 25, 2017

Kizer back at QB – again – for Browns … Cleveland has re-instated rookie QB DeShone Kizer as the starter for the team’s game this Sunday against Minnesota in London. Kizer was benched for the second time this season in this past weekend’s overtime loss in Tennessee after he turned the ball over on successive series. Kizer was also reinstated after a video surfaced earlier this week which showed him out in a bar shortly before closing time on Saturday morning. How the Browns feel about Kizer, a second-round pick at the 2017 draft, going forward could have a major impact on the early picks at the upcoming draft. At 0-7, Cleveland is currently the leader in the clubhouse to end up with the #1 pick overall this spring and likely will be looking at QBs if they do not feel Kizer is their guy for the future. On the other hand, if the Browns’ brain trust still want to give Kizer some time to develop they could either use the pick to add a big-play weapon to their arsenal such as Penn State RB Saquon Barkley, or as they have down in the past, trade down and accumulate more picks. Stay tuned.
