Browns’ GM ‘non-committal’ on QB Watson’s future with the team … Cleveland GM Andrew Berry was somewhat non-committal at a presser earlier today with regards to the future of QB DeShaun Watson with the team. Said Berry of Watson: ‘it is always possible’ he could return and play for the Browns again down the road. Watson is currently out for the season after rupturing his Achilles’ last month. The problem for the Browns if they did want to try and move on from Watson is that they’d take an enormous cap hit if he was traded or released. Plus there is the question whether anyone else around the league would actually want him at this point. Needless to say if the Browns did move on they’d be looking at a QB with their first round pick; they currently sit 6th in the latest selection order which would certainly put them in range, but with so many questions about this year’s QB class these days it may be easier said than done.
