Browns confirm Kizer as starting QB … Cleveland has confirmed that rookie DeShomne Kizer will be the starting QB when the Browns open the season September 10th against Pittsburgh. Kizer, whom the Browns selected in the second round of the 2017 draft with the 52nd pick overall, beat out veterans Brock Osweiler and Cody Kessler for the starter’s job.
