Bonus coverage … Draft watchers who have not yet had the chance to check out rising Memphis junior QB Paxton Lynch (#12, 6-6, 245) get another opportunity later this evening when he leads his unbeaten and 17th ranked Tigers against Tulsa in a game to be telecast on ESPN at 8 PM ET. California junior Jared Goff and Michigan State’s Connor Cook are expected to be the first two QBs off the board at the 2016 draft, but there is something of a smorgasbord after that and there are more than a few whispers about the NFL scouting community that nobody should be surprised if Lynch isn’t the next QB taken when all is said and done this coming spring. Lynch has prototype size, a strong, accurate arm along with surprising mobility for such a big QB. So far this year, Lynch has completed 71% of his pass attempts including 13 for TDs against only one pick through 6 games. And his potential was really highlighted last weekend when he lead the Tigers to that stunning 37-24 upset of Mississippi.
