Bombers win Grey Cup

December 12, 2021

Bombers win second straight CFL Grey Cup … They had to put in a little extra time, but the Winnipeg Blue Bombers made it two Grey Cups in a row with a dramatic 33-25 overtime win over the hometown Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 108th edition of the CFL’s championship game this evening. Hamilton had actually tied the game with a last second FG to send the game to OT, but in the overtime period, Bomber QB Zach Collaros, who was named the CFL’s outstanding player earlier in the week, hit Darvin Adams with a scoring pass on Winnipeg’s first series. Then the Bombers clinched the title when LB Kyrie Wilson picked off a deflected pass to end the Ti-Cats hopes of ending a 22-year Grey Cup drought.
