Big Ten; PAC-12 postpone fall football … Pretty much as expected, both the Big Ten and PAC-12 have announced this afternoon that they are postponing all fall sports, including football, until at least the spring. However, the decision doesn’t appear to be exactly unanimous, at least within the Big Ten. Indeed, at least a couple of Big Ten schools – Nebraska and national contender Ohio State – have indicated that they are exploring their options for possibly playing outside the conference this fall. Meanwhile, the other three Power 5 conferences are still on the fence, but it is just hard to see a split season working out with half the country playing in the fall and the other half in the spring. Of course, if the full season is shifted to the spring it is going to have major impacts on the 2021 NFL draft. Will the top college players actually be willing to still play in the spring rather than prepping for the draft; does the league move the draft back; what about the all-star games??? Stay tuned.
