B10 corner retires … Northwestern senior CB Matt Harris has announced that he is retiring from football because of concussion concerns. Harris was not necessarily considered to be a prime draft prospect, but he was a smart, productive collegiate player – he was a team captain in 2016 and all-conference player in 2015 who had 161 tackles, six interceptions and three forced fumbles in his career – who almost certainly would have at least gotten a free agent tryout in the NFL next summer.
