Bears inch closer to top pick as Panthers lose tough one … Carolina threw something of a scare into Chicago when the Panthers rallied from two TDs down to tie Green Bay late in the 4th quarter, but the Packers were able to secure the win with a last minute FG to drop Carolina to 2-13, still the NFL’s worst record. It also means that Chicago, which acquired the Panthers 2024 first round pick in a draft trade last spring will hang onto the #1 pick this year for at least another week. However, that’s about all we can say at this point as New England and Arizona, the teams with the 2nd and 3rd picks, still have to play with the Cardinals facing the Bears in Chicago in a 4PM game and the Patriots facing the Broncos in Denver this evening.
