Bengals get jump on rest of league; cut 11 … Cincinnati became the first team to release players ahead of next Tuesday’s league-wide deadline to get down to the 53-man opening day roster as the Bengals cut 11 players earlier today after they completed their pre-season schedule last night. For the record, none of the Bengals first round of cuts involved any of their 2024 draft picks,but 5 rookie free agents were released including former Indiana LB Aaron Casey who was on our list of the top undrafted rookies following the 2024 draft. Those guys don’t want to get too comfortable quite yet as the Bengals still need to cut as many as 26 more players to get down to Tuesday’s deadline. As usual, we will be tracking all the cuts here, although note that we only list those transactions that have been formally announced by the teams.
