Baylor RB Linwood to skip bowl

December 20, 2016

Baylor RB Linwood 3rd RB to skip bowl … Baylor RB Shock Linwood has become the 3rd RB to decide to skip his team’s bowl to avoid injury and begin preparations for the 2017 draft. Linwood, a senior with over 4,000 career rushing yards, joins LSU’s Len Fournette and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey in opting not to play in what is essentially a meaningless game. Baylor is scheduled to play Boise State in the Cactus Bowl on December 27th. Unlike Fournette and McCaffrey who are regarded as potential first round picks this year, Linwood is more a mid-to-late round candidate, but probably figures the NFL has enough tape on him such that what he does in one game isn’t going to change his grade.
