Ashton who? RB Skattebo stars as Sun Devils’ win way to CFP … Arizona State is off to this year’s 12-team CFL playoff after a resounding 45-19 win over Iowa State in the Big XII championship game earlier this afternoon in Dallas. The 11-2 Sun Devils were led by RB Cam Skattebo who was literally untackleable as he ran for 170 yards and two rushing scores on just 16 carries which included a 53-yard TD burst. For good measure, Skattebo also chipped in a 33-yard reception for a 3rd TD. Also, for the record, that gives Skattebo almost 1,500 rush yards on the season with obviously at least another game to play.  And for those that missed it last evening, Boise State became the 1st team to qualify for the college post-season when they defeated UNLV 21-7 in the Mountain West title game in which star Broncos’ RB Ashton Jeanty, the nation’s leading rusher, posted another 202 yards, including a 75-yard TD burst that kind of broke the game open, on 32 carries to run his total on the season to just a tad under 2,500 yards on the season, the 4th highest total in college football history and well withing range of Barry Sanders all-time record of 2.628 yards.
