As the QB turns: some random thoughts on the 2025 QBs … It appears that right now this is a very fluid situation. Coming into the season, Cason Beck of Georgia and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders appeared to be the consensus top 2 QBs for the upcoming draft with legit top 5 potential, while Quinn Ewers of Texas was just a step or so behind. So far thru the first three weeks of the college campaign Beck and Sanders have been solid enough, although neither has blown anyone away. At the same time, Ewers, along with Miami’s Cam Ward, Jalen Milroe of Alabama and Mississippi’s Jaxson Dart, the next tier of QB prospects, have all been putting up Heisman type performances such that one could make the case that anyone of those guys could ultimately be the first player chosen at the position next April once the full evaluation is completed by NFL teams. Should be a very interesting ride and the rubber will really start to hit the road in the next couple of weeks as teams get into their conference schedules, especially next weekend when Beck’s Bulldogs travel to Alabama to face Milroe’s Tide on September 28th.
